That is my delimma right now with the T-179, fix it or salvage it.
Got the shop vac out and sucked up 6 snake skins, 3 dead rats and 2 dead I don't knows.
Hope its the last of the rat issue, I had one living in there for years and it would freak Debra out.
If we stopped the boat and got in the water to cool off for a few, we would get back in and see rat droppings on the carpet.
I thought a neighbors cat took care of it once but I guess a whole family lived in there under the floor.
As far as snakes, never saw one but always came across the skins. I guess if one had come out while under way I would learn how to walk on water :)
So back to it, just not sure i want to put more money into the boat, such as re-cover all the seats and cushions. I could do it myself for around 400 or so or have it done by a pro for about 1K then sell the boat.
I have the charger on now, checked the fluids and I guess I will decide if it starts or not.
I noticed the trim rams are disconnected and the steering seems to be stuck, the pass thru window is in the floor and looks like my brother tried to pull one of the windows out, no telling what else.
She runs, must have had a corroded connection on the starter, removed it, I tested it and it failed, took it to Autozone to try and match up a solonoid and they tested it and it passed. Installed it and it fired up on the first rotation.
Trim pump motor was out, I guess that explains the disconnected rams. Bought one on Ebay so its on its way. Next will be new interior and put it up for sale.
I Put another trim pump on and the switch on the panel powers down not up, most likely a corroded connection.
I'm jumping red to blue, motor/pump runs. Jump red to green motor/pump runs.
I'm assuming one color is for up and one for down.
Drive does not move, my guess is it needs to be bleed, how is this done?
I have one clear tube from the pump to the selector switch and one braided line coming out to the drive then one back to the pump making a full circle.
How do I bleed this? Do I just pull one end off and pump till no air or do I bleed in both directions?
And since I'm asking 20 questions which is blue and which is green, up or down.

Bleeding the system is easy. Just run it up and down with the fill screw off. It's a closed system and all the fluid comes back to the pump eventually. You could crack open the lines at the cylinders. Use a line wrench. I'll have to consult my manual for the color code.
