1977 Taylor SS - 454 w/Berkely

Hi Everyone!

Man if you're like us you're already thinking about taking out the boat from storage just to clean her up and get ready for warmer weather.  Even though that's an easy 75 days before it's even close to being warm enough to ski or tube!  lolzzz

Do we have anyone that can offer some guidance on what I need to do to give this girl a good once over before the season starts.  I need to build or purchase a new intake grate as there isn't one on the boat.  Ran her all last year without one (stupid I know) but didn't know the difference.  Gonna put in new interior this spring as well.  This is our first "Jet Boat".  We love it and are tickled pink with the performance and fun.  We even trailered all the way to Tennesse for a weeks worth of fun on the Telico near OakRidge.

Thanks in advance for any advise I may get.  HAPPY BOATING!!  boat

I love those Taylors, they pop up from time to time for sale around.

As far as once over goes if you mean de-winterize, just throw in some fuel additives, check your plugs for fowling, check fluids and lube the bearings on your trailer. Put the battery charger on before you head to the ramp...

What area are you from?

I've seen jet parts on C/L here in the Dallas area recently.
