Yup, I knew it would happen one day. I've been gettin' the boat ready to go for tomorrow's festivities, and I miscalculated and added too much oil to the gas. It's about 8 oz too much. About 3 gallons worth if I'm mixing 50:1. It's a 15 gallon tank. I'm so annoyed with myself! I'm assuming all it's gonna do is foul my plugs a bit. Is it gonna foul the plugs so bad that we won't make it through a day of boating? Or am I just being paranoid?? Any help would be appreciated!

I run 40:1 in my 74 115. I noticed 200-300 rpms at full throttle when I swiched from 50:1. Maybe a problem if your going to idle all day. The last gallon I bought was a cheaper oil and don't know if it was in my head already for it to be less quality? Anyway I'm sticking with Quicksilver, premium or premium plus. Have a good one.
If its an older engine a litle more oil will actually help lubbricate it since there is more play in the cylinders. If its an external/portable tank just empty some out and add clean gas or if its an internal tank get out and burn up a few gallons at high rpms then top off at the marina. Either way you should be ok.

Thanx for the tips guys! I knew I could count on you all! ;) We finally got the boat out on the lake for the first time this year, and it was AWESOME! Warm water, beautiful weather, lots of family, and food! It was busy, but not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. With regards to the oil situation - The boat was smoking pretty bad when I was testing it, so I thought it was gonna be bad out on the lake, but much to my surprize it ran great all day with no smoke at all! Maybe I'll add a little extra oil every time!

A little to much oil is much better than not enough oil!!
Around these parts, I'm not sure when the water will stop falling out of the sky long enough to enjoy what's gathered at the local hole. We were just about without shoreline as it was, now it's worse. We've managed a couple trips. The last two were plauged with clouds and rain, but we managed to miss it. It's looking like another week of rain is coming too.
The first two pics were July 4th in the Arbuckles looking to the North. As we sat and drank a cool one, it stormed all over Central OK. Missed it by this much.
The others were taken on the 6th at Lake TBird here at home. It flooded north of us. Missed it by this much. AGAIN!
