June2010 Flash Flood: Lake McQueeney near Seguin Texas, Guadalupe river

A friend of mine has a lake house near hear and took these pictures.  The flood came after midnight but his son happened to be there and he was able to pull his 23' Sea Ray up into the yard with his pickup.  Others woke up to a mess.  Several boats got loose and went several miles downstream.  The dams on the Guadalupe are over the top concrete types. Looks like there will be a boat salvage sale soon.....

Wow Larry, I didn't see anything on the news about that. McQueeney is where the river basically opens up to a lake then bottlenecks back to a river.
Thanks for sharing the pictures.
I had no idea that lake was a big wakeboarder lake, judging by all the Malibu's.

All the tube rental places along river road by New Branfuels got wiped out. They are trying to reopen for the 4th using tents. It was a 12" plus rain in a few hours.
