after a few days with-out my computer I was suffering some withdrawals, I managed to get through it with only One Slip.
I got the computer back this evening, they bored it .060, installed a Hot cam, ported and polished the heads, re-sized the high speed jets and added an up-dated ignition system. It's about as fast as the Scimitar now, just got to learn how the new stuff works now.
I got several emails before the crash about this old SeaFlite, then after the computer bit the dust I got a couple phone calls about it, well, I felt obligated to go check it out, George twisted my arm, So ... check out the pic's. It's a 1958 Glastron 17ft SeaFlite on a tandom TeeNee, Oh .. and a Fat 50 with the big foot.
Yes, I bought it ... Story, the fellow I bought it from said it was a One Owner, only driven on Saturday's, solid transom, and garage kept, well ... transom is still solid, it has 1/4 aluminum plates sandwiched inside and out, that way when the motor pulls the transom out it will still be attached to the motor and easy to find under water.
What is really amazing about the old boat is that there is "O" checking or cracks in the old gel coat, so it was obviously garage kept for a big part of it's life, and the trailer is in pretty good shape once I get some tires on it, and it came with all the hubcaps, andthree of the little port thingy's for the back of the motor cowl.
