First Things First ... I got to Fess Up, it was NOT really me that went to Broken Bow, it was my older Twin brother that I've kept secret from you guy's, I let him go in my place cause he needs to have a little fun too, but he makes a Lot of mistakes ... ( there, it's out, I feel Better now )
Looks like fun was had! I see Dale brought the Scarab out of hibernation. In the video where Larry is going by, it looks like he took a shot of nitros.

Hey Guys, we had a great time. I think this is the first time I have been on the water 5 days in a row. We started at Lake Fork on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Many!! stumps....rolled over a few. On Friday evening we watched the sunset on Broken Bow with Janet, Dale and Bonnie. Then Saturday morning I found Red and heard a few "stories". On the way back to get ready to go to the lake, John the owner who drives around in his little mule took me back to my cabin. He said you know "that guy" pulled his boat and trailer through this road around the pond in the dark. John said he ran Red down flashing his flashlight to stop but he just kept going. . . He said he had never seen anyone get through that trail with a boat???? I said "he only has one gear and that is straight ahead. I asked Red if he was going to go that way again and he indicated not a chance.
My cousin Kurt drove up from Baton Rouge to see me...not really he really wanted to see and hear Red's boat. We hadn't seen each other in a couple of years so we caught up on Christmas and birthday gifts...I scored big time.
Anyway hear are several pics of our trip.
Larry Glen, when you mentioned the nitros when I went by, I knew I was in trouble when Red put the camera down . . . and I was..I was running 56 with 30 gallons of gas and Red blew by me like I was standing still and he had 40! gallons of gas. I don't feel bad though, Kurt was riding with Red and when he saw a new Baja "Big Hammer" (496 or 502 engine) Red ran up along side it and he left him in the dust too!!!! Kurt said Red parked next to him at the marina and Red was friendly but the Baja owner was NOT happy.

Hey All, sorry I missed the trip this year as well, I was really looking forward to it. In fact, only one out-of-town boat trip this year and that was to Lake Dallas for a couple days, most of that was spent on a blow boat, (sailboat), although I did get to blow out the V212 some. Sarah was really bummed about not going to Broken Bow as well, she still goes on about how much fun we had last year. Lots of irons in the fire this summer, took on another project for a friend, an '84 Wellcraft Elite 200. Found it down in Austin for a song, originally just for the 260 mercruiser and drive but the friends wife decided she would like to keep the boat so here we go again. Been trying to get the driveline ready to go back in it then new engine mounts and a little floor work. The Saberflite still sits, stripped down and ready for body work. That's the next engine to get on the stand for a complete rebuild and restoration. Hoping to get all these projects out of the way so I can actually do some boating next year like we did last summer. Take care everyone.
