I was thinking about Broken Bow either Aug 21 or 28th. Labor day isn't until Sept 7 this year. I would really like to do the weekend of the 21st. I want to start talking about so everyone will be putting it on their calendars.

A bad day in my boat is better than any other day!

Hey everyone, 

I'm ready for warm weather and lake days!!!! I've been thinking about Broken Bow 09 and it makes me anxious for summer and getting to see all my friends..... I'm thinking about the weekend of Aug. 21. I want to get started planning early so everyone can check their calendars and make sure this is a good weekend for all.  If this doesn't work for most, we can do Aug 28, these are the last two weekends before Labor Day.  I will have all the info on the cabins, the marina and camping area at a later date. If anyone has any questions just let me, Glenn or Mark know and if we don't have the answers, I bet we can find someone that does.  I would like to have a big crowd there this year for our 3rd Annual Fred Sauer Memorial.

hey Glenn, do you remember the couple that was there last year? I can't even remember their name, they came up from somewhere in Texas.....Was just wondering if they came over to boatrant when we all did. Sure wouldn't want to leave them out.  I had a business card but I'm just getting old, don't know where I put it either. May be still in the boat!!!

Long time no hear Jeff, I thought that site shut down last September? I deleted the link and moved on and just checked it again since your post and seems to be still shut down.
I doubt I will be able to do a PK trip this year, already have a few plans and I have heard very bad stories about BRA (Brazos River Authority) about how bad people get harrased. A person I met that had a boat on there for 15 years moved it this year because of it. He has a Lake front house on it but refuses to get on the water, his boat is now 100 miles away at another marina.

No Red, at the very least it will be the 2 of us for sure, lol. I was waiting for Janet to chime in on the 8/21 date before I made my reservations. I'm sure we will do the same thing this year as we did the last time, go a few days early, so we can have some extra time if the weather turns sour.

Still alot of folks missing from the past but it's moving along. Think maybe you and Debra will make Broken Bow this year? Sondria says she is coming this time, I'll believe it when it happens. I've only been out in the 212 1 time this year so far, the weather is being a pain every weekend. Take care.

Jeff,  After a trip to the boat doctor, Pizzaz is no longer taking on water and she is starting every time....for now.  Water was coming into the lower unit from a hole in one of the bellows and the water entered the shifter mechanism and gimble bearing.

Hey Mark .. if you need any help with that gear case just call Dave 474-0137 ... he's the best there is on those things.

Just curious, is there any chance of backing the date up 1 week to the 14th? School fires up here in Lubbock on the 24th, it was a little tough last time, getting back late on Sunday then starting a new school year on Monday.

Hey Red...I'm not scare of Pete!!!!! Don't change anything yet, there isn't much available for the 14th. I'm thinking its still going to have to be the 21st.  Will know more in a couple of days. I can't believe how time has just gotten away with me. And its not looking to get any better any time soon. But I will get on this right away. I hope you are having a good time so far. I just got my boats outside and have got to start getting them ready. Was hoping to get on the water this weekend, but not looking too good for that either.......There's not enough time in the day!!!!! Talk to you soon.

I talked to Cathy and there isn't much open during the month of August. If we back up any more than that we get into July.  So.........Ya'll need to let me know...can we work out for the 21st. I want everyone to be there. I apologize for not getting on this earlier....things have been a bit crazy around here and time just got away from me. If so....we need to start booking cabins. I think the camp sites are first come...but not sure. There is also the Lodge there that is actually on the lake if anyone would like to stay there.  The number to Lake View Lodge is 1-800-435-5514. Sounds good Mark.  So the 21st it is. I hope everyone can work it out.  I think Red already has a cabin, and I'm going to book mine today. Mark, did you get the number for the camp sites? And if you remember....there are some right there on the road down to the boat ramp. Not far at all from the water or the cabins.

And there are slips at the arena where, we can put the boats so we don't have to load and unload every day, if anyone wants to do that.  Just remember to take the snacks out or the raccoons will get them!!!!!

My cabin is Booked!!! The same one as last year and the year before that~~~~ I'm going over on Thursday the 20th and will be there thru the weekend. I'm looking forward to see everyone. Larry I'm glad that you and Jen will be there, is Matt going to be able to come with you? Those boys sure did have fun last year!!! Well, I can't wait to see everyone.
