Kitchen Remodel

I finally decided to take on the task of redoing the "womens cave".
Before I got to this point I (we) retextured (with trowels) the walls of the dining room, halls and 2 baths. Tiled the dining room with slate and luckily found a table and hutch that matched the slate floor.
Tiled and textured the baths, tiled the kitchen, hall, breakfast room, living room and entry.
Took out a wall and made a gym (like I will ever use it) with its own TV and extra AC.
Recarpeted My cave and got a bigger TV.
Back to her cave, I have taken out the counter top which was the original formica type and have put down new ply and will install a tile top with tile backsplash.
As far as appliances go, I got the stainless fridge and sink, next will be a stainless dish washer, cooktop, microwave and oven.
That should about do it, this wasn't done over nite, it took some time.
Debra is in New York this week so hopefully I will get it done before she gets back, on the other hand I did get 4 cases of beer for my birthday, but no one checks the calendar. Anyway here are some pictures.

A little more progress, just need to finish the backsplash above the sink (waiting on Debras' design) put on my trim edge piece and wire in the under cabinet lights.

I started out strong then slowed down, took a few days off from it and got back on it today.

Got the under cab lights in and finally decided on a pattern for the backsplash above the sink, still need to clean one more time and I decided on a wood trim edge instead of tile. Now I have to do the other side of the kitchen but that one is half the size.

What do you think?
