Eagle Mountain Tie up, Goal,,make a big circle Have a DJ Have lots of fun without gettig arrested,,,,done!
We got there about 10:30 and there was only about 25 or so of us boats when we tied up. Our group came in at different times so we were spread out at roughly every tenth boat or so. In the end it was well over 200 boats.
It took about 3 hrs to get the circle complete, after we had it finished about 150 boats were left on the outside looking in. If I were to guess, I would say that there were close to 350 boats, maybe more and about 2000 people. There were big boats, fast boats, big fast boats, small boats, small fast boats and some very impressive cruisers and yachts.
Man 'o man, sorry I missed that one! Looks like a blast was had by all. Where do those people get the cashola for those offshores?? I'm definitely doing something wrong. Time for an unknown wealthy relative to pass on and take pity on my POOR soul. See ya.
The skinny I have heard is it will be Sept 5th which is Labor Day weekend, normally it is the 3rd weekend of August every year which in this case would be saturday the 15th. I have also heard that there may be a pre-tie up party on the 15th due to the fact that most people go to the Island on Texoma for Labor Day. This is only stuff I have heard and not to be taken as fact. You might want to call Kelly's restaurant they might know since the crowd usually starts and ends there. G
