Going to Broken Bow this weekend. Figured it ways a good half way point to meet my mom from Kansas. Is there different boating regulations from TX. Read about it and it seems about the same. The only thing I saw was that didn't know about was visual distress signals. Do I need a flare or something on my 16'? Anyway thanks for any info on things I should watch for at Broken Bow.
No Flares or visual ques necessary Billy. Must have a fire extingusher, horn or whistle, current registration, jackets, throw cushion. Recommend a bail bucket and an oar. Lights are necessary 30 mins before dark and 30 mins after sunrise. The lake is a great place. The mountains abound the shores and the water is deeeep.

How'd you like the trip ? me and the Fox stayed in cabin #1 when we were there, Nice Place, It's a shame about Cathy's husband dying a few weeks ago, wonder if she's gonna keep the place going.

Wow, didn't hear about that... he seemed healthy, did you hear what the cause was? He mentioned they were going to sell in 5 years a year ago, guess this might speed up the process.

Very nice lake. Noticed it was deeper away from the dam so must have been a 40' or so natural lake before they made the dam. So nice to watch the shoreline with no development. Had perfect weather on Sat. Cathy's brother is coming up on the weekends to help right now. She says she can't handle it by herself and will sell. Worries about the market right now. Said her and John had a 10 year plan to keep up the place and then sell to retire. Rough stuff for her.
